Most processing stays on your device

Most of these tools send nothing to a server. Formatting, encoding, image compression, generating and calculating happen in your browser. The DNS Checker is the exception: it sends the domain and record type directly to Cloudflare's public DNS service. NelcByte does not receive the query. Read the privacy policy.

How it works

Three steps, then you are done

1

Choose a tool

Open the utility that matches your task, or search the full list.

2

Enter your input

Paste JSON, type text, pick a date or set the options you need.

3

Copy the result

Use the copy or download button. Most tools never send your input anywhere.

Questions

Before you start

Are the tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on NelcByte Tools is free to use. There is no account, no trial and no paid tier.

Do you store what I paste into a tool?

No. Most tools run as JavaScript in your browser, and your input is not sent to NelcByte. The DNS Checker sends the domain and record type directly to Cloudflare's public DNS service; NelcByte does not receive that query. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email.

Which tools contact a third party?

Only the DNS Checker. It asks Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS service for the records you request, so Cloudflare receives the domain, record type and standard request information such as your IP address. The image compressor and every other tool work locally.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the page and use the tool. There is nothing to sign up for.

Can I use the results in my own work?

Yes. The results are yours to use. For important work, check the output yourself, especially for dates, health figures and anything you plan to publish.

Why do some tools need JavaScript?

The processing happens in your browser, so JavaScript is what makes the tool work. The pages themselves still load without it, but the interactive tools will not run.
