These terms apply to tools.nelcbyte.com. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
NelcByte Tools provides free browser-based utilities. The tools are provided as a convenience. There is no account, subscription or paid tier. We may add, change or remove a tool at any time.
2. Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the site to break any law or infringe the rights of another person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or any connected system.
- Interfere with the site's operation, including by flooding it with requests or introducing malicious code.
- Use automated means to scrape or overload the site in a way that harms other users.
- Misrepresent the site or its results as official, certified or professionally verified.
3. Your input and results
Because the tools process input in your browser, we do not obtain a licence to the text or data you enter. You are responsible for the input and for how you use the result.
If you email us, you grant us permission to use the message to respond and keep a record of the conversation. Do not send confidential information unless you are comfortable with it being in an email.
4. No professional advice
The tools and articles are for general information and convenience. They are not medical, legal, financial or professional advice. The age and BMI calculators do not create a doctor-patient relationship. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional.
5. Accuracy and availability
We aim to make the tools correct and available, but we do not guarantee either. Results may contain errors, and the site may be unavailable during maintenance, hosting problems or network failures. You should verify important results independently.
The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, code and branding belong to NelcByte or are used with permission. Open-source components remain under their own licences, which are noted in the relevant files or in the README.
You may use the tools and their output for personal or commercial work. You may not copy the site's branding or present the site as your own product without permission.
7. Third-party links and services
The site may link to nelcbyte.com or other third-party websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.
The DNS Checker sends lookups directly to Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS service. Cloudflare is an independent third party, and its terms and privacy policy apply to that request. NelcByte does not receive the query and does not control Cloudflare's service or results.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, NelcByte is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on a result. This includes lost data, lost profits, business interruption or damage caused by a third-party service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. The courts of Zimbabwe have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the use of the site.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and the latest version will be on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
